I was given a clear estimate up front. Instructions for leaving the car were very clear. When I arrived, someone explained that half their staff had called in sick that day, so my repair might be delayed. The engineer who did the work texted me the link to a video in which he explained an additional problem he had found (oil leaking into the piston area) and showing the spark plug with oil on it to illustrate the problem. I OKd the additional work and was able to pick it up the next day. This was my first time with this business and I was very impressed. I also discovered that if I reserve it ahead, I can get a loaner so that I don’t have to rent a car while they do the work.
As always, the store gave an honest assessment of the issues with my car. And the store turned my car around - mounted winter tires and new brakes - pretty fast. I would like to see the check-in process return more towards normal in terms of entering the store.
My boss was on family business in Boston he had bad control arms on the his car. Ms.Susan was professional and friendly, the technician was competent and explained everything. The price was more than he wanted to spend on the trip but was reasonable for the work. They also gave him a loaner car to use while they worked on the car. Most shops try to upcharge when someone with money comes in needing help,this was not the case with them all the work was needed and corrected the problem. We would recommend Direct Tire for any of there services.
